About
Our Mission
“Be like a duck,” the old saying goes, “Calm on the surface, paddling like crazy underneath.” Every day, countless men live this way, projecting strength and stability while privately wrestling with anxiety, isolation, and uncertainty.
At The Redeemed, we believe there’s a better way.
We’re building a Christ-centered community where men can drop the façade and ignite their God-given potential through authentic connection, meaningful conversations, and shared experiences. We create space for men to be honest about their struggles, their questions, and their desire for something more.
Our Goal
All around us, men are quietly battling pressures on every front — financial stress, relationship strain, health struggles, addiction, and the deep anxiety that stems from an increasingly disconnected and competitive culture. While many try to find comfort in their faith, they often feel disqualified — believing their brokenness, past mistakes, or current battles make them unworthy of belonging.
At The Redeemed, we exist to break that lie.
Our goal is to provide a Christ-centered, grace-filled community where men can bring their whole selves — questions, wounds, addictions, doubts — and find a safe place to be honest, seen, and supported. We believe true transformation begins with authenticity, and we are committed to walking alongside men through every season of life.
We welcome all men, regardless of where they are in their faith journey, because we believe God’s redemption isn’t earned, but freely given. This is not a community for the perfect, but for the willing.
We envision a world where no man walks alone—where those searching for Christ-centered friendship find a deep, unwavering brotherhood rooted in grace, truth, and transformation. Together, we become the men God created us to be.

Our Team
Meet the people behind The Redeemed
Paul Amos
Founder
Paul is a successful businessman and financial manager who got his start at one of Georgia’s most visible and respected corporations, Aflac, which his grandfather and two great-uncles founded in 1955. He started as a state sales manager and worked his way up through the ranks to become president of the company, an office he held for a decade. In 2017 he decided to forge an independent path for himself and joined JBA Capital, now known as Covey Equity, a holding company where he serves as director. In 2020, drawing upon his own experiences and struggles, he founded The Redeemed as a way of providing support and guidance to adult men suffering with depression, addiction, and other life challenges. A father of four, Paul earned his bachelor’s degree from Duke University, a juris doctor degree from the Tulane University School of Law, and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
Nathan Dewberry
Director
Nathan Dewberry was appointed director at The Redeemed in 2022, bringing extensive experience as a student, associate, and administrative pastor, as well as several semesters of seminary training. A native of Lineville, Alabama, Nate earned a degree in horticulture at Auburn University and worked for seven years in the Auburn area as a landscape designer. He moved to Columbus, Georgia when his wife, an Army veteran, was transferred to Fort Benning; he worked for several months at Global Teen Challenge, a network of faith-based organizations providing addiction rehabilitation services. Nathan is the father of a son and two daughters, and he, too, is open about his life struggles, including a difficult divorce; he looks forward to using what he learned from those experiences to help men in crisis.
Payton Linder
Small Groups coordinator
Payton Linder is the Small Groups Coordinator for The Redeemed. He brings a background in community engagement, ministry leadership, and nonprofit management. A U.S. Navy veteran, he previously worked at Troy University and co-founded Raising Warriors, a nonprofit combating human trafficking.
Having grown up without a father and overcome struggles with depression and alcohol, Payton uses his story of redemption to inspire and support men in their faith journeys. He holds a Bachelor’s in biblical studies, a Master’s in Strategic Ministry, and is pursuing a Master’s in Organizational Leadership. Payton’s greatest joy comes from his faith, marriage, and being a father of two.
Jake Kegg
INTERN
Originally from a small town in Pennsylvania, Jake Kegg felt a strong calling to ministry from an early age. After receiving an Army scholarship, he attended Eastern University in Wayne, PA, where he studied Biblical Studies, competed on the track team, and served in the local church. Upon graduation and commissioning into the U.S. Army, Jake moved to Columbus, Georgia, to attend the Armor Basic Officer Leader Course. During that season, he struggled to find authentic community—a challenge that deepened his desire to foster spaces where vulnerability and meaningful connection can thrive.
Jake and his wife, Abby, now live in Colorado Springs, where they serve together at Life.Church and are passionate about building intentional, Christ-centered relationships. After relocating to Colorado, Jake remained actively involved with The Redeemed, finding it to be a steady source of encouragement, leadership development, and spiritual connection. He is committed to helping men find healing, strength, and purpose through authentic community.
